Pink YA Leotard and skirt, white socks and pick ballet shoes.

Class 1 Modern and Acro

Black leggings and black leotard

Class 2 and above.

Ballet

Black leotard and skirt, pink ballet tights and pink ballet shoes.

Modern and Acro

Black Leggings and black leotard

(Grade 1 and above must wear beige slip on jazz shoes for modern)

Examinations are affiliated by the British Theatre Dance Association (gqal).

Children will be well prepared for their examinations, we hope they have a professional, positive and rewarding experience. Dancing should always be fun and enjoyable- that's why we do it ! Exams are set in a formal and professional setting and no spectators are permitted. Children in class 2 and above are required to remember the running order of the exam without being prompted. Children in Class 1 will be assisted and supported by their teacher. Taking an exam is a huge achievement and a fantastic confidence building experience. Depending on the level of qualification the children will receive a certificate and a small trophy for our lower grades. 

Some children will jump at the opportunity to to an exam where as others will be more nervous. We will never pressurise a student to take an exam if they don't wish to do so and we would not hold them back consequently. We will only enter children for exams when they are ready mentally and physically. We want the experience to be positive and enjoyable.
